Rainbow (1978 film)
''Rainbow'' is a 1978 made-for-television biographical film about the early life of singer-actress Judy Garland starring Andrea McArdle, Don Murray, Michael Parks, Piper Laurie and Rue McClanahan which was broadcast on NBC on November 6, 1978. It is directed by Jackie Cooper and based on the 1975 book ''Rainbow: The Stormy Life of Judy Garland'' written by Christopher Finch.

The early life and struggles of Judy Garland (Andrea McArdle), and of the film star's trials as a youngster in dealing with the movie studio system that held her back while her mother (Piper Laurie) was forever pushing her to excel.
